Ύδρα - Hydra IslandHydra Island is situated in the Aegean Sea, between Saronic Gulf and the Argolic Gulf. It is separated from the Peloponnese by strip narrow of sea. On the island there is one main town, known as “Hydra port”. It consists of a crescent-shaped harbor, which is centered a strand of restaurants, shops, markets, and galleries that cater to tourists and locals (Hydriots). Steep stone streets lead up and outwards from the harbor area. Most of the local residences, as well as the hostelries on the island are located on these streets.
In the year 2009 I have visited this beautiful island together with my friends from
Serbian Choir Unity from Kotor. These are some of the photos I made during the visit.
